Need more informatio: I am not sure what the figures 1.2 or 1.0 mean. Cataracts are a loss of transparency of the eye lens and removal is considered when the lowered vision interferes with your visual function. If you see well, then you can wait. If there is doubt seek a second opinion. Laser (femtosecond) is a helpful adjunct but not mandatory. Cataracts are removed with ultrasound.

While these risks are still present, they are significantly less: thus benefit often outweighs risk significantly.
