Strain: You are exerting too much pressure on the tendon on top of your toe. You can try and use crutches to assist you in getting around for brief periods of time. Speak with your surgeon regarding your discomfort .

Tendon pain: Because when you heel walk after bunion surgery, you pull up your big toe with the extensor halluces longus tendon which is in the direct area of your surgery. Might be best to use crutches and stay non weight bearing but consult your surgeon.
