Better: Part of the problem with a bunion is it affects the mechanics of the foot. Over time, this causes other issues with the foot. Straightening the great toe will improve those mechanics. Follow post-op instructions and rehabilitate the joint faithfully and your gait will be fine.

Healing times vary: The healing rates can vary depending on the individual and on the exact type of procedure performed. There are different types of bunionectomies for example. The amount of time that you should remain off of your foot following bunion surgery will vary depending on the exact type of procedure performed. Following recovery you should be able to walk with no discomfort.

Walking: No one , regardless of their talent or the procedure chosen can guarantee this. You need to be comfortable with your surgeon. Ask questions. Healing times vary and your participation and adherence to directions are critical to a successful outcome.
