A member asked:

I just had polymerase chain reaction (pcr) hiv test negative at 4 weeks 6 days, almost 5 weeks?

Probably free: There are rare cases in which antibody testing has remained negative for several months, but you probably do not have hiv. If you are in a state of anxiety over this and can afford it, a PCR for the presence of viral RNA in your blood will solve this definitively.
