About 95% conclusive: This is almost but not quite conclusive. It is not the recommended test after a particular exposure, unless there are symptoms to suggest a new HIV infection. For a conclusive result, also have an HIV antibody tests (or combo test, i.e. antigen-antibody) 4 weeks after the event. The combination of that negative result plus PCR at 10 days will be conclusive.
