Ulcer: This mostly depends on where the ulcer is and what caused it. You should discuss this with your gastroenterologist. In the meantime, it is usually OK to use antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Maalox if you have upper abdominal discomfort. Good luck.

Consider taking: meds that are otc but effective. The med such as prilosec that is over the counter will help a great deal. You may need to consider to stop excess caffeine, aspirin or other meds such as ibuprofen. See your doctor and get the best advice.
