Yes: Carafate (sucralfate) heals ulcers no matter the cause. It coats the stomach where the ulcer is located and protects the stomach from the acid environment. You would be wise to add an h2 blocker such as ranitidine as well.

Isnt PPI like Nexium (for acid reduction) and sucralfate (for covering effected area to allow healing)an ideal combo for stomach gastritis and ulcers?
When is sucralfate added with ppi for gastritis ? Is ppi alone not enough for healing of stomach lining or ulcers? I do not have h.pylori.
Does sucralfate only works on ulcer site or the entire stomach lining which is inflamed/damaged during gastritis? Will it also prevent new ulcer?
