Complicated: Stomach ulcers must be followed closely as they are not as common as duodenal ulcers, have a lower likelihood of being associated with acid production, and are more likely to be cancerous. If the ulcer is in the area just as the stomach exits into the intestine, lowering acid with medication and dietary modification are the standard treatment. H pylori is a bacteria that can cause ulcers.
