Misinformed?: Sweet potatoes are not a healthy food. They are just a bit less dangerous as 'sugar' calories than white potatoes. Complex carbohydrates are still 100% sugar calories. They are just not quite a glycemic as simple sugar or 'white' carbohydrates. Sweet potatoes are not fat burners. They do not make you absorb carbohydrates better. Why would one want to absorb sugar 'better'?
