Itchy Family: Treating the entire family for mites when the entire itches seems reasonable. Mites, on the other hand, should not cause loose stools. Loose stools along with rash make me think of viral or bacterial causes. Other environmental causes should be considered such as new laundry detergent, new soap, new carpet, new paint, new pet or recent travel and the related environmental exposures.
