Green tea: There are beneficial compounds in green tea, but the concentrations are very low. I would not ascribe any magical properties to green tea, but if it relaxes you, if it helps you sleep, and if it prevents you from hitting the fridge for some ice cream, it is certainly worth continuing. Not a substitute for metformin and a statin.
