Possibly: You can absolutely have both types of herpes simultaneously and both could be genital, both oral, one oral and one genital, etc. It also can occur that when you contract the second one the first might flare due to stress and altered immunity. If you are dealing with herpes, know that while we cannot cure it, it is very manageable for most with medications. Consult your doctor for treatment.
