Maybe: Nobody's sure how many people harbor Lyme disease. If you're coming down with Whipple's, it may cure you without knowing. It may also protect you from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever if you get a tick bite. Beyond this, I can't think of any. Few people harbor unknown bacterial infections like these. Best wishes.

Yes: Infections usually cause symptoms. Doxycycline will not just target acne but kill the bacteria that stand in it's way, good and bad. Take probiotics and eat yogurt to repopulate your stomach with healthy bacteria again. Be sure to take the antibiotic with food.
