Does taking doxycycline hyclate 50mg capsule taken 2 times a day for acne lead the potential risk of bacterial resistance? does it lead to any future issues due to the antibiotics killing the good bacteria in the gi?

Good questions: The lower dose of doxycycline for acne treatment ideally makes bacterial resistance less likely but it is still possible, so the length of time for oral treatment should be as short as possible. Any antibiotic that kills “bad bacteria” can also kill “good bacteria” in GI tract, so imbalances in GI tract are possible. Wasting yogurt & taking probiotics can possibly help prevent the latter issue
