Very tough: There should be a joint effort with you, the teachers and a health care provider if needed. Adhd and simple behavior problems are not necessarily the same thing. Get a good team around your child to truly check your options.

Start by asking his: pediatrician if (s)he evaluates for ADHD using Vanderbilt or other parent & teacher questionnaires or if (s)he refers to a child psychologist, child psychiatrist or developmental pediatrician. Your child needs and deserves an accurate diagnosis to determine which of the possible causes of his behaviors is present in order to guide treatment.
