Multiple factors?: Sorry about his troubles. What are the recent changes in his life? You mention recent move? Other family stressors as death and divorce? What works with him for discipline? Do you believe he is getting enough sleep? There are many variables which affect into a child's attention span at school. So sorry about the bullying, kids can be cruel to the new child at school. Get help: Talk with your son's teacher and guidance counselor. Make sure they know about the bullying and recent stresses/changes in your son's life. Ask for a parent-teacher conference with the principal if necessary to address bullying. Bring an advocate or friend with you. Keep notes of everything. Have your son see pediatrician to assess. Ask for referral to a therapist/psychiatrist for more guidance.
