Many possibilities: Hi. At your age, I'm assuming you used to have periods, then you stopped (aka secondary amenorrhea). Do a pregnancy test to exclude the most likely cause of stopping having periods. Check for genetic causes of premature menopause (many genes, e.g., FMR1). Check prolactin. See if LH & FSH are high and estrogen low (= ovarian failure) or low LH & FSH with low estrogen (pituitary in origin). Goodluck

Consider a consult!: If your brain isn't signalling for an egg release from your ovary, you won't have a signal for your periods either; that's usually the cause of amenorrhea. Often it's a hormonal imbalance--Thyroid, Prolactin, LH, FSH, Hcg should be checked. Your doctor can also induce a period as well w/ OCPs. If you've NEVER had a period, you should get an US to make sure you have normal uterus/vagina/ovaries.
