Hard occipital lymph nodes on either side of head. was in contact with sick person. one seems to have shrunk, they don't hurt. please help. thanks!

If that is all you find, and you are not sick, there is no reason to worry. It is very common to have prominent lymph nodes's at your age, a normal finding.

Lymphadenitis or swollen lymph nodes is due to viral or bacterial infection. The swollen lymph nodes caused by cancer is not very common condition. I don't think that your case is any different. Possible a dental infection due to tooth abscess, gum abscess or combination of both. Rec.: see another physician or dentist for the second opinion. Good luck.
