Hard occipital lymph nodes on either side of head. was in contact with sick person. one seems to have shrunk, they don't hurt. please help. thanks!

Probably normal: If that is all you find, and you are not sick, there is no reason to worry. It is very common to have prominent lymph nodes's at your age, a normal finding.

Lymph nodes: Lymphadenitis or swollen lymph nodes is due to viral or bacterial infection. The swollen lymph nodes caused by cancer is not very common condition. I don't think that your case is any different. Possible a dental infection due to tooth abscess, gum abscess or combination of both. Rec.: see another physician or dentist for the second opinion. Good luck.
