I feel my occipital lymph node, it's very small and doesn't portrude much. it hurts my head if i push on it hard, otherwise no pain. what could it be?

Lymph node or cyst: Lumps and bumps are typically not concerning unless they are painful, growing in size, or have pus coming out of them. Typically a bump could be a lymph node which usually shows up after an infection or a cyst which is a fluid filled sac.
