A member asked:

I am a very healthy/fit 48 yo w/ stress fracture (mri) to upper tibia (running). what is best/fastest course to: recovery; strength; and prevention?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Immobilization: Depending on the exact location of the fracture cast/ brace will help heal the fracture but it will take several months. You should get a metabolic work up done by endocrinologist to make sure there are no treatable causes for this fracture.Other than that you may have to slow down and limit your running in future . Good luck.
