Your age says 47 but: start walking as much as you can once a day, then build to 2x a day. add weights slowly after getting some training online or at a local gym on how to use weights properly. Then do any exercise you enjoy, swimming,biking, on an ongoing basis - varying it will make your body work harder and you will lose weight faster. Watching what you eat matters. Write down every thing you eat daily to monitor
