Teenager having temp around 37.8 that goes away on its own every month ,has recently lost 7 kg but is still in healthy weight range .active and otherwise healthy bld test done a month before the weight loss and was normal 10 months ago. why the fever?

Lab studies/exam: Weight loss may be a sign of a serious underlying illness. The elevation in temperature may be a normal variant, but the weight loss is of concern. Please schedule a visit right away with your physician. Repeat lab work is also indicated.
