Don't stop suddenly!: There is a condition call SSRI Discontinuation Syndrome which can occur if you discontinue using an SSRI or related medication abruptly, particularly if you've been on it ATT least 4 weeks. The syndrome can be extremely uncomfortable. As you and your doctor formulate the next steps in your treatment plan, a gradual taper off celexa (citalopram) will be needed unless you decide to switch to another SSRI.

Stop it: then stop it. if you only took it for a few days then please understand that most of these medications have an adjustment period and if you can stay on it for the first 7-10 days the side effects will likely resolve. if you have been on it a long time then stop it and try a different agent. you could also get genetic testing which might help ID meds that are more likely to help and be tolerated.
