I am informed that i can't have the lasik procedure but would i be able to have the prk procedure?

Maybe: It really depends on the reason you were told you were not a candidate for lasik. Some of the same reasons would disqualify you for lasik. There are some situations where lasik might not be a good idea but would allow prk to be performed. You need to ask your doctor or seek a second opinion with an experienced refractive surgeon.

It is possible: It really depends on the reason why you didn't qualify for lasik. Thin corneas is probably the most common reason people dont qualify. Then prk is a good choice. but something like corneal scarring, retina problems, severe dry eye, lazy eye, changing prescription etc. would disqualify you from having either.
