Sleep hygiene : No TV at bedtime, dark comfortable room and surroundings, don't lay awake more than 30-40 minutes. If you do, get out of bed and try to read in another room for 30 minutes, then try to sleep again. Can a also try white noise or other noise machine and could try over the counter melatonin supplement. Stop drinking caffeine between noon and 3pm, limit or stop energy drinks.
