Orthopedic eval: Scoliosis is a fairly common problem but can be either idiopathic (no clear cause) or the result of other conditions that affect normal back muscle growth and balance such as cerebral palsy. Corrective surgery is a major intervention--there may be other less invasive treatments that can help with symptoms you may be having that are causing your unhappiness with scoliosis. See an orthopedic doc.

Specializes in Orthopedic Surgery

See specialist: I would see an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of scoliosis. That is not to say that you need surgery, but they will be able to examine you, review xrays, and give an expert opinion about your prognosis and options for treatment.
