Don't take sleep aid: Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon related to some parts of your brain awakening while others are still asleep, so you're awake in a way but your body is still asleep. It's not common at all. Sleep medications like Ambien (zolpidem) might make this more likely to occur, so a safe bet to minimize this would be Tom to take anything like that.
