Specializes in Trauma Surgery

Depends on severity: If it is in the soft tissue of arms or legs, about 2 weeks. In the abdomen, chest or neck it's a different story. Many of these require surgery. Some gunshot wounds never heal-look up Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain , a general from Maine in the Civil War.
