Stopping cymbalta (duloxetine)?: Cymbalta (duloxetine, an SNRI) has a 12 hour 1/2 life. This means that half of the amount in your blood stream will be eliminated every 12 hours. I would discontinue cymbalta only with your prescribing docs instructions. It is a med that should be tapered (take serially lower doses) and not just stopped abruptly. Another tx plan to address the sxs you initiated cymbalta to treat should be created!

Few weeks: If you have been on cymbalta (duloxetine) for more than a few weeks then it will take a few weeks to 'wash out' of your body. this is not the type of drug that you should arbitrarily, without your doctor's advice. If it's only 1 pill- no time at all
