Doesn't really work: That way. Side effects may have rapid onset even though therapeutic effects take longer.

Possibly: Side effects or "reactions to" a medication can happen at any time. Therapeutic effects do take awhile -- usually at least 4-6 weeks -- to build up in your system. Side effects of Cymbalta (duloxetine) may occur before therapeutic effects do. Balancing these with potential benefits will be up to you and your psychiatrist.
