Lovan: Lovan is a trade name for fluoxetine, an ssri anti-depressant. The half-life of fluoxetine is quite long, so a 20 mg dose can be stopped and it will essentially self-taper without side effects. However, if you wish you can take it every other day for a week before stopping completely. Have you discussed stopping it with the doctor who prescribed it? Best to involve your doctor in you decision.
