Usually: Usually SSRI anti-depressant meds such as Prozac (fluoxetine) should be tapered gradually unless there are severe side effects. Stopping suddenly may cause an increase in anxiety, depression, and other sx. Talk with your doctor about the exact timing of the tapering.
