A member asked:

Is it possible to reverse effect of ct radiation?what can i do to minimise effect of one chest ct with 4.8msv dose? please help!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Radiation effects: Radiation damage is irreversible. Use ct only when necessary. Theoretically, preventive water-soluble antioxidants (like vitamin c, n-acetylcysteine) may be able to scavenge some of the free radicals created by exposure to the ionizing radiation.
