Rare: Very rare. Saw one case. Can be associated with rheumatologic conditions (sle, etc), infectious (hiv, etc), autoimmune disorder, lymphoid neoplasm (cll, etc), drug or idiopathic (diagnosis of exclusion). Mechanism: autoantibidies to all three peripheral blood cells (wbc, rbc, platelet). Itp (ab only to platelet). Evan syndrome (ab to rbc and platelet). Tx: prednisone, ivig, or rituximab.
