MS fatigue: In MS, fatigue is almost constant, not associated with exertion or stress, or even lack of sleep or depression, although all of these can mimic fatigue, and may well make it worse. Depression fatigue is present associated with exhaustion on awakening with more energy as activity increases, but lack of pleasure and pessimism are clues to diagnosis.
