Ok but...: There is a natural good feeling for most people when they take narcotic pain medicaitons which is one of the reasons why they can be addictive. This does not automatically mean you are depressed however. Always reasonable to visit with your doctor if you have any concerns about having depression.

Pain meds, addiction: Feeling "happy" when taking pain medications is concerning. Euphoria is a known side effect of narcotic medications (such as vicodin, percocet) and illicit substances (heroin). This is one of the reasons these drugs are so addictive. If you are not experiencing acute pain, you should not be taking narcotic medications in order to "feel normal." this is a red flag for addictive behavior.
