Zopiclone: Also called lunesta, (eszopiclone) is a sleep medicine to treat insomnia. It is not an antidepressant. Some side-effects include sour taste in mouth, memory impairment, & mood changes. Please consult your prescribing doctor to review medications for depression.

Not unusual.: Medications, like zopiclone, are in a class of medications called sedative hypnotics: in short sleeping medication. All of these medications can impair memory formation, after they are taken. And, sine you take them as you go to bed, those memories just prior to sleep, are not stored.
