Maybe what he drinks: If he is drinking from a cup, it is very likely that some of what he is drinking is getting on the upper part of his lip. Juices can be especially irritating to the sensitive skin of a child . When the rash appears, try to think back about what he might have gotten on his upper lip. If he sucks his thumb or fingers and then gets the saliva on his upper lip , this might also be a cause.
