My two and a half year old is diagnosed with throat infection, but has developed a few little spots/rash around his mouth, taking amoxicillin?

Drug or infection: The two most likely causes of the rash are the Amoxicillin and the throat infection itself. If it's just a few little spots, it should resolve with application of over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream - but if it gets worse, call the doctor who prescribed the amoxicillin, who will probably want to re-examine your son.
