Taper: The best way to avoid symptoms of caffeine withdrawal such as headache, is to cut down slowly on the caffeinated beverages over several days or weeks. Non caffeinated beverages, like herbal teas, can be substituted to still enjoy the warm beverage.

Caffeine addiction: The good news that as of today there is not scientific proof that caffeine meets the criteria to induce a complete addiction. However, when it comes to any addiction, a focused approach is often needed. To avoid withdrawal symptoms, decrease your consumption gradually over a period of days or weeks. Replace the caffeinated drinks with decaffeinated. Good luck.
