Gradually : The best approach is to very gradually reduce the amount of caffeine each day. This can be done by either drinking less caffeinated coffee, diluting the caffeinated coffee or gradually switching to decaffeinated coffee. There should be a recent medical evaluation to be sure that you are not needing caffeine because of fatigue. If there is depression a mental health evaluation is in order.
