Specializes in Psychiatry

Individual need: You wouldn't "get" your psychiatrist to up your valium, but the psychiatrist might determine need to adjust or change treatments based on your progress. The psychiatrist evaluates this at your visits and responds accordingly. Valium may or may not be the best treatment for you, and the psychiatrist would then change as needed. Best wishes.
