A member asked:

How could a history of depression/being on antidepressants restrict your opportunities in the united states?

Depression: A history of depression should not affect your opportunities in the us. Your medical information is private, according to hippaa laws. You should not have to disclose your history of depression to potential employers. If, however, you choose to disclose your history to your employer, be aware that some employers may treat you differently due to prejudice against people with mental health issues.

Depression/restrict: Can you be more specific with your question? Do you mean with regards to work, a security clearance, getting a visa if one is not a us citizen, getting a drivers license...?
