A member asked:

I don't want to take antidepressants. what should i do about my depression then?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends upon how: serious is the depression. If you are suicidal, meds may provide relief faster (with supervision) than talk therapy. But talk therapy is very good for depression, with or without meds (in most cases). If the depression is mild, consider herbs (SAM-e, 5 h-t-p, Rhodiola Rosea and St. John's Wort). Even these can have side effects, so consult with your provider. But do get help.
