Possibly but...: If you have TMJ/TMD issues that are not under control, and if the wisdom teeth do not appear to be the direct cause, wait on getting them out. Stretching the mouth open to extract the teeth may exacerbate your problems.

Definitely, no: It's important to note wisdom teeth do NOT cause TMJ syndrome. The wisdom teeth only need to be removed when local events justify their extraction (e.g infection).
