No. TMJ and wisdom teeth symptoms can overlap. But removing wisdom teeth will not improve any TMJ problem.

TMJ problems may be due to a number of different causes. Any patient who has a significant TMJ problem needs to have a thorough evaluation to determine possible causes. The removal of the wisdom teeth may not "cure" your TMJ problem, but it could help decrease some of the symptoms.
