Depends: depends upon the abnormality and the person being tested. 10% or more treadmills with be "abnormal" but nothing being wrong with the person. this may be due to resting ECG properties, a person's habitus or other history (blood pressure). Of course the reason we are concerned is that in the higher risk person, an abnormal stress test may indicate blockages in the coronary arteries.
