Why can't bend the top of my thumb without bending the index, middle and ring finger in my left hand?

When I bend my neck my little finger on right hand and thumb on left hand tingles/shock as well as a part of both legs. Nothing in neck or spine. No painDr says normal as you age. Occurs because bending neck pulls on spinal cord. Is this correct?
