I disagree: The more you nurse the more milk and vice-versa.But you need your rest.In balance, i would make sure to sleep.Also by 4 mos of age , the baby should self regulate and wake for feedings.Thus i would not wake the baby up.

Supply and demand: The more often you drain your breasts, the more signal you will send your body to make more milk. More frequent feeding always leads to increased milk supply. Your doctor may be worried about your daughter's weight gain, otherwise you would not typically be asked to wake her to feed at night at this age.

Breastfeeding: After the first couple months of life, we do not generally tell you to wake up your baby to feed. At this age, your baby should be sleeping more through the night. I would not recommend waking your baby up to feed. You will usually be able to continue with milk production without having to feed constantly during the night!
