Perhaps: Using formula gives the pediatrician standard calorie count but do not stop direct breast-feeding either just keep quantities of both for a food diary as a diary is most beneficial for the doctor to count calories.

Dont stop breastfeed: I would strongly suggest to keep on breastfeeing. Don't change to the soy formula yet if there is no other reason why your pediatrician would do so. Try to increase the calories in your breast milk adding 1/4 of tsp of regular sim 20 with iron formula powder to the 2 oz on your expressed breast milk (or 7 tsp of liquid formula ready to use ) to increase the calories. It would give 22 cal per 1 oz.
